MATCH PREVIEW: ROTHBURY v. BEDLINGTON F.C.

MATCH SPONSOR: James Hammond Electrical kindly sponsor today's game. The local firm have been a much-valued supporter of the club and their continued assistance is very much appreciated.

Rothbury manager Danny Olson says his side go into the clash with Bedlington FC ‘full of optimism.’

The Reds chalked up their second win of the season at Armstrong Park last weekend, and will hope to continue that good home form that has seen them take a maximum return from their games at Rothbury so far this term.

“The pattern of play that has been implemented is starting to bear fruit, but what’s more pleasing is the players and the club are buying into the overall philosophy,” said Olson, who also sees his side bolstered by numbers ahead of the fixture.

“Tomorrow sees the return of James Jackson from suspension and Thomas Hammond has been added to the squad. We look to continue from last weeks win over Bohemians, but we know it will be a tough encounter against a good side who will be formidable opponents,” concluded the gaffer.

Bedlington’s opening day victory at Red Row got them off to a flyer. Defeats at the top two Haltwhistle and Prudhoe were no disgrace, and in netting three times themselves in those fixtures shows the attacking prowess that Ken Dougan’s side display. They also hit four in a respectable draw at Wallsend BC, while a 3-1 defeat at Whitburn & Cleadon last time out was another difficult trip. Andrew McLennan has shot himself onto the leading scorers board with 4, so will be a one to watch.
