MATCH PREVIEW- FOREST HALL v. ROTHBURY

Rothbury boss Danny Olson says his team have put the graft in during training again this week and he hopes to reap the benefits on the pitch.

“We’re looking forward to the trip to Forest Hall and we travel with an almost full compliment,” said the boss, who is yet to have the luxury of a fully fit and wholly available squad this season.

“We expect a tough encounter but we are fully prepared. Jack Halton will miss the game after his finger dislocation and Kyle is still recovering from a foot injury,” confirmed Olson.

“We travel in good spirits - the team have worked hard again this week so we anticipate a good performance and hopefully 3 more points.”

It’s difficult to guess what you’re going to get at East Palmersville; Forest Hall like to play some decent football but have found results difficult to come by so far this term. They will be geed up by a 5-1 NFA Minor Cup success at Bohs Reserves last weekend, and their only League success so far also came at Benson Park. Narrow defeats by FC United of Newcastle and Prudhoe YC showed that Forest Hall are no pushover, while heavier defeats by Whitley Bay SC and Wallsend BC showed some level of inconsistency. The 14th placed hosts will be right up for the visit of the Reds, who sit in 10th, so Rothbury will have to be at their best to get anything from the game.
