REDS HUNGRY TO GET BACK IN ACTION AFTER FORTNIGHT LAY-OFF

Rothbury v Prudhoe YC
Northern Football Alliance Div. One
Saturday 23rd November 2019, kick-off 2pm.

Rothbury will look to put the memories of their recent Cup exit at the hands of the visitors behind them as they get back into League action after a fortnight of inactivity due to the weather.
Although Prudhoe were 2-1 winners at Armstrong Park in the Reeves Independent George Dobbins League Cup last month, boss Dan Herron says his Reds side are raring to get their football fix and looking forward to the fixture.
The game has come too soon for an influential midfielder in Herron’s squad, though, as James Loughborough remains sidelined through injury.
We’re still missing James after he pulled his groin against Hexham - I think that might be a bit longer. Other than that we’re more or less a clean bill of health,” said the gaffer.
“The lads will be raring to get back into football for sure. It’s frustrating having games called off, but hopefully it doesn’t knock our rhythm too much.”
Herron was impressed by the way Prudhoe went about their business in the Cup tie and is anticipating his players elevating their game a little for this one, while he is certain that the fans can look forward to another cracker.
“They’re a great side - probably the best we’ve played so far. I’m sure it will be a great game to watch as both teams like to play the right way. I’m hoping we can perform as we know we can this time,” he said.
