Rothbury v. Hexham for a spot in Combination Cup semis

Rothbury v Hexham
Team Valley Carpets Combination Cup Quarter Finals
Saturday 2nd November 2019 kick-off 1.30 pm

Get wrapped up and get yourselves down to Armstrong Park to back the Reds as they face Hexham for a spot in the semi-finals of the Combination Cup.
Rothbury take on the Tynedalers for the first time in the club’s history after the last-eight game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch a fortnight ago.
And the team are hoping to hear the Armstrong Park roar that helped them to the Division Two title last season with crowds regularly topping the three-figure mark.
We’ve had some good crowds for sure, maybe more so at the end of the year when going for the League, so hopefully we’ve got runs in the Combination and Minor Cups to keep the faithful coming out in all weathers to support!” said manager Dan Herron.
“They play a massive part, as well as the amazing pitch - the lads loved it last year when there was so many behind the team.
Herron says he is looking forward to the game and is expecting a strong squad to select from.
“Obviously we know Hexham are a decent side so we need to be sensible in terms of approach, but we will be looking to play to feet wherever we can as usual,” he added.
Whitley Bay Sporting Club host Cramlington United in the other tie, with Bedlington FC and Forest Hall already booking themselves spots in the semis.
Bedlington were 5-2 winners over Wallsend Boys Club and Forest Hall triumphed 5-4 on penalties over Hebburn Town u23 after the game ended 4-4.
