REDS CALL FOR FANS TO BE THE TWELFTH MAN IN BLYTH VISIT

Rothbury v. Blyth FC
Team Valley Carpets Northern Football Alliance Division Two
Saturday 27th April 2019, Armstrong Park, Rothbury, kick-off 2.30pm

MATCH SPONSOR: NEWCASTLE HOUSE HOTEL, ROTHBURY

Rothbury aren’t underestimating the size of the task ahead as Blyth make the trip to Coquetdale for a head-to-head encounter.
The Cowpen Park side inflicted the Red’s only League defeat so far on the opening day of the season and will be eager to bounce back after a mid-week defeat put a dent in their title hopes.
Boss Dan Herron is keenly aware that Blyth will be smarting and is hopeful that his own side have learned lessons after being severely tested by Seaton Sluice last weekend.
“It’s just like any other game really - obviously the lads will be looking to play positively and try to get a result. We’ve trained well this week and are looking to take that sharpness into Saturday’s game,” he said.
The importance of the vocal support from the sidelines has played a huge part in the Red’s phenomenal unbeaten run this season and Herron reiterated that the players get a huge boost from the fans.
He’s hoping to see a bumper turn out again this weekend with the stakes being so huge. They don’t come much bigger than promotion and, possibly, without jumping the gun, extending the lead at the top to an unassailable level.
The supporters could really prove to be the twelfth man on Saturday in a game that you don’t want to miss. Your encouragement could make all the difference.
