Top of the table Rothbury will be looking to kick-off the New Year in style as third-placed Cramlington United make the visit to Coquetdale.
Boss Dan Herron is hopeful for a large turnout to cheer on the Reds as the Festive period comes to an end and his side return to action after a three-week lay-off.
"We’re looking forward to getting back into the swing of things," he said.
"There’ll be a few cobwebs to blow out, I would think. We’re expecting a tough game as United are in good form and sit third in the league - but we’re also expecting a strong squad to be available after the break."
United were 6-1 winners over derby rivals Cramlington Town last time out and have 54 times in their 16 League games so far this season.
They trail Rothbury by four points and have played a game more, but Herron is under no illusions as to the difficulty of the task ahead.
"January is going to be a big month for us with two league games against fourth and third, and the important tie with the Uni in the League Cup quarter final. But for this Saturday it’s about getting back to business and aiming for another three points," he said.
Rothbury will be watching out with interest for the result of the other big game in Division Two on Saturday as second-placed Whitley Bay Sporting travel to fourth-placed Whitburn & Cleadon.
